The S24, a phone that includes some unexpected capabilities given its price range, was revealed by Itel, a company well-known for producing affordable smartphones. The S24, which debuted on March 29, 2024, aims to provide a seamless user experience and remarkable camera capabilities without going over budget. Examining the specifics will help us determine whether the Itel S24 fulfils its claims.

Display and Design

The Itel S24 has a sizable 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution (720 x 1612 pixels). Even while it’s not the sharpest on the market, it provides a passable viewing experience for regular activities like gaming, watching videos, and web browsing. In comparison to conventional 60Hz displays, the 90Hz refresh rate is a pleasant innovation, guaranteeing a smoother and more responsive experience.

The S24’s design is where things start to get interesting. Three colour options are available for the phone from Itel: Dawn White, Starry Black, and Coastline Blue. A special feature of the Starry Black model is a photochromic rear panel that changes colour in response to sunlight. This gives the phone a unique touch and appeals to people who like a little flair.

Performance

The Helio G91 chipset, a dependable CPU for daily operations, powers the Itel S24. Although it’s not the most powerful device available, it should have no issue running light games, streaming videos, and the majority of social media apps. Three RAM and storage combinations are available for the phone: 4GB RAM with 128GB of storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage. Users can select the one that best fits their demands and budget thanks to this.

Itel’s proprietary OS 13 is layered on Android 13 to power the S24. Though bloatware can occasionally be added by custom UIs, Itel is renowned for having a comparatively clean interface. Google guarantees that Android 13 users will have access to the newest features and security upgrades.

Camera

The Itel S24 approaches its cameras in an intriguing way. At the rear, there is a lone, highly-resolution 108-megapixel primary sensor. Although megapixels don’t matter in every situation, a high-resolution sensor can produce detailed images in well-lit environments. Some people doubt the S24’s utility because it comes with a very basic secondary sensor.

The 8 megapixel front-facing camera on this phone is rather normal for low-cost phones. The 108-megapixel sensor may provide outstanding results in well-lit areas, but low-light performance and the absence of an ultrawide or telephoto lens may be disadvantages. Overall, camera quality will probably be a mixed bag.

Battery

The sizable 5000mAh battery capacity of the Itel S24 is a welcome feature for consumers who require all-day battery life. The S24’s power-efficient processor should allow you to use it all day long without having to find a charger. Additionally, Itel supports 18W rapid charging, enabling you to swiftly top off the battery as necessary.
