One excellent example of a midranger that can compete with much more expensive devices is Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 13 Pro+. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ boasts a great display, a snappy performance, a large capacity, and a beautiful appearance. The phone charges quickly, has a strong camera, and is both robust and waterproof.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G Display

With its 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G offers a visually captivating experience. Every detail is brought to life on the screen with a pixel density of 446 ppi and a resolution of 2,712x1,220. The device’s elegant design is enhanced by the 93.35% screen-to-body ratio. With support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, the display is not only bright but also adaptable, with four different refresh rates ranging from 30Hz to 120Hz.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ boasts a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, a wide colour gamut of 100% DCI-P3, and more than 68 billion colours, all of which combine to provide a visually appealing and snappy display. To further ensure clarity, the display’s brightness reaches a maximum of 1800 nits.

OS

Running on Android 13, MIUI 14 is preinstalled on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. With its promise of four years of security patch updates and three major Android updates, Xiaomi guarantees extended software support. The Note 13 Pro+ is ready for HyperOS just as Xiaomi is getting set to switch to it.

Performance

Built on a 4nm process technology, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is equipped with the Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor. This CPU offers a smooth and responsive user experience thanks to its combination of 6 effective Cortex-A510 R1 cores running at 2.0GHz and 2 powerful Cortex-A715 cores clocked at 2.8GHz. With configurations available in 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB variants, the device uses LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage to enable seamless multitasking and speedier app launches. The version that we were able to evaluate has a 12GB+256GB setup. For improved camera capabilities, the Note 13 Pro+ uses a sophisticated Imagiq 765 ISP and the ARM G610 MC4 GPU.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G features a stainless steel 4000mm² VC cooling system for gaming. By ensuring effective heat dissipation through superior cooling technologies, the device is kept from overheating during extended use or resource-intensive operations.

Camera

The 200MP primary camera on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is driven by a large 1/1.4 ISOCELL HP3 sensor with an f/1.65 lens aperture. This allows the sensor to capture enough light for detailed, colorful images. While the 12.5MP combines 16 pixels to produce excellent low light performance, the 50MP pixel-binned photographs maintain crispness. Handshake blur is further reduced with support for optical and electronic picture stabilization.

A variety of shooting choices are available to you, including a dedicated 200MP mode that captures incredibly fine details in high quality. Using high-resolution data from the primary sensor, the 4x lossless hybrid zoom accurately mimics optical zoom. There is a single 16MP front camera for selfies. Night mode for low light photography, pro mode for fine-grained camera controls, motion tracking focus, panoramas, long exposures, magic cutout for removing undesired objects, and more are examples of advanced photography features.

Battery

In addition to having a 5,000mAh battery, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G has a USB Type-C connection and 120W HyperCharge functionality. It required approximately 22–26 minutes to recharge during our testing time. All things considered, the phone has a good day’s worth of battery life left.
